Trinity Grammar at the Greek Centre
A cohort of 200 Year 8 students from Trinity Grammar School successfully completed a Greek Language and Culture Course at The Greek Centre. The course was implemented for the second consecutive year as part of a dynamic educational collaboration between the School of Language and Culture of the Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) and Trinity Grammar School.
As part of the four-week program, the Trinity students had the opportunity to be introduced to the fascinating world of Greek language and culture in an immersive way as well as acquire a basic knowledge about the Greek alphabet and everyday communication. The Trinity students were also initiated into some of the most famous and popular Greek traditional dances.
"It was an excellent opportunity for those who participated, who got to meet a language and a culture whose influences and dynamic presences are easily discernible in the modern multicultural society of Melbourne" stated Ms Maria Bakalidou, Principal of GCM Schools. Upon completion of the program, all students committed to utilizing the knowledge gained in every opportunity.
