The students of the Greek Community of Melbourne Schools continue to stand out for another year in the VCE exams with their excellent performance in Modern Greek.
For the second year in a row, among the excellent results, the school holds the first place in the State of Victoria with the superb performance of the student, Sofia Linardou, who achieved a raw study score of 50/50. The students, Eirini Vergaki, with a score of 49/50, and Georgia Linardou, with a score of 46/50, also excelled and scored an enthusiastically high performance, without the scaling.
It’s worth mentioning that 20% of the students scored above 40+/50, while the 50% scored above 37+/50 and 78% above 29+/50.
On a state basis, the 67.9% in the written exams scored 9.2% above the average score for the State of Victoria, while in the oral exams 87.5% exceeded the average overall score for the State of Victoria by 5.1%.
The performance of our Classical Greek students was also very good, given the difficulty of the Classical Greek subject; 5 out of 8 students achieved a study score of 30 and above (30, 31, 32, 36, 37) after scaling.
We congratulate all our students for their incredible performance and for making us proud through their achievements.
