Message From the Lord Mayor of Melbourne

 Our city’s iconic Greek precinct once again welcomes thousands of visitors to the Antipodes Festival. A large, vibrant and proud Greek community has helped shaped Melbourne for many years and continues to influence our city. This joyful celebration features traditional dance and music, art and craft and activities for the whole family. Over two days, Lonsdale Street will host culinary feasts and festivities drawing on the time-honoured traditions of Greek culture. Learn from a yiayia during cooking demonstrations, down a dolmade and dance til you drop. The City of Melbourne is proud to support the festival in its 37th year and to celebrate our thriving Greek community. Congratulations to the organisers and I wish everyone a terrific day out at Melbourne's own Antipodes Festival.
